Hope for Youth (H4Y) is a group established to mentor at-risk youth to help them reach their God-given potential. We have received training from the Christian Association of Youth Mentoring (CAYM), which teaches best practices to create a safe, effective, and sustainable mentoring program. Youth are connected with adult role models as mentors. Our founder was involved in a similar ministry in a different state. She has found that people in this community want to help and are excited about what we can do in serving those in our community who are at-risk, oppressed, or downtrodden. This follows the words of Jesus, who said, “In as much as you did it unto one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me” (Matt. 25:40).
Crisis of Fatherlessness Over 40% of American youth are born to single moms Divorce rate is high inside and outside the church Biblical Call to Mentor A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling (Psalms 68:5) Helper But you, O God, do see trouble and grief; you consider it to take it in hand. The victim commits himself to you; you are the helper of the fatherless (Psalms 10:14)
